Visitation

All visitors must register to visit by following the instructions below. Visitors wishing to visit an inmate housed at the Main Detention Center or at the West Detention Center will have the choice of visiting at the West County Video Visitation Center, in Belle Glade or the Central Video Visitation Center on Process Drive, just west of the South Florida Fairgrounds.

When scheduling your visit you will be provided the available days, times and location to choose from based on the inmates housing and classification. You will be responsible for showing up at least 15 minutes prior to the visit for check-in; you will not be allowed in late. You will be required to acknowledge that you have read the visitation rules when scheduling a visit, any violations of the rules or dress code could result in your visit being cancelled.


If you are registering for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office Inmate Visitation, the email you will receive after you register, will explain how to get your visiting information to the inmate, so they can put you on their visitation list.  Please plan to arrive at the Visitation Centers 30 minutes prior to the start of your visit so you can be checked in 20 minutes before your visit.
 The Visitation Centers are located at 9620 Weisman Way in West Palm Beach, and 2890 State Road 15 in Belle Glade.  All visitation rules apply to both locations. Please view the visitation policy on the link below.
IF YOU ARE AN ATTORNEY SCHEDULING A SAME DAY  VIST, YOU MUST CALL THE JAIL CENTRAL CONTROL, WHEN YOU SCHEDULE THE VISIT, AND INFORM THEM OF THE INMATE’S NAME AND THE TIME OF THE VISIT.

Visitor Rules

  1. All visits are monitored and subject to recording.
  2. A maximum of three (3) visitors per each visit.
  3. All adult visitors registered with a United States address, MUST present that state’s valid Driver’s License or State ID. Out of Country registered visitors, must present a valid passport, before each visit.
  4. Visitors can bring in keys and a wallet to the Central Video Visitation and West Video Visitation Centers.
  5. Lockers will NOT be provided at CVVC.
  6. We suggest that visitors arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled visit they can be checked in 20 minutes before their visit at the Video Visitation Center.
  7. Visitors arriving after the 15 minute deadline will be denied entry
  8. All Minors MUST have a visitor’s ID number and MUST be added on the visit.
  9. An original birth certificate and legal guardianship paperwork is required before a minor visits.
  10. Visitors wearing coats, jackets, sweaters, etc., must be wearing a shirt that is proper under these items.
  11. Visitors MUST adhere to a dress code policy. Visitors cannot wear
    1. shirts without sleeves
    2. low cut or revealing shirts, tanks or halter tops, stretch pants, leggings, tights or Spandex pants.
    3. swimsuits, see through, or torn clothing
    4. short-shorts, miniskirts, hats, scarves, bandanas, sun-visors
    5. clothing with profane pictures or language

    Shoes are mandatory.

  12. Visits must be scheduled 1 to 7 days in advance. NO same day visits may be scheduled.
  13. Children will never be left unattended FOR ANY REASON on Visitation property.
  14. Unsupervised children will cause visits to be cancelled.
  15. Visitors who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be admitted to visit.
  16. No school age children will be allowed to visit during school hours. This includes home schooled students.
  17. Visitors bringing a cell phone into the building will be restricted from visiting.
  18. No Smoking, gum, food or drinks are allowed on the visitation property
  19. Visitors with small children will be permitted to bring in one baby bottle, and one blanket per child.
  20. If a visitor exits the Visitation area, they will not be allowed to gain reentry.
  21. Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or any type of disruptive behavior will not be permitted.
  22. Any visitor observed littering anywhere at Video Visitation may have their visiting privileges suspended.
  23. Please stay seated during all visits. If you are leaving, hang the phone up first.
  24. If you are a “No Show” to three scheduled visits, you will be restricted from visiting for two(2) visiting weeks.
  25. All visits are recorded. Please act accordingly.

ANY INFRACTION OF VISITATION RULES CAN TO LEAD TO SUSPENSION OF VISITS.

Visitor’s Dress Code

It is not our purpose to pass judgment in limiting the kinds of clothing that may be allowed in the visitation area. We designed these limits to prevent harassment, discomfort or embarrassing incidents that may spoil your visit.

Listed below are examples of proper and improper attire. Suggestive clothing and see-through fabrics will not be allowed. Appropriate underclothing is required. If you do not understand a rule or guideline, please ask a member of the staff for assistance.
