The Pratt County Sheriff’s Office operates the Detention Facility located within the Law Enforcement Center at 303 S. Oak St., Pratt, KS 67124. The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, however not all services are available all hours. The Pratt County Detention Center houses both male and female adult inmates.

Visitation  Visitation is Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Only immediate family members of an inmate are allowed to visit during authorized visitation hours. Family consists of: Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Grandmother, Grandfather, Husband, Wife, and Children. The visitor must not have been incarcerated within the last six months at any location or  incarcerated in the Pratt County Jail in the last five years, and have a valid state or government issued photo ID. No visitors under 18 years of age. Visitation may be cancelled at any time by the Sheriff or Undersheriff. Prisoners are allowed up to 15 minutes per visit. These visits are conducted via the Internet from video stations located in prisoner housing units, Jail Lobby, and from PCs at home. This system is a product of HomeWAV and allows prisoners more visits and less restrictive visitation hours. It requires less staff and less travel by visitors resulting in savings to both the visitor and general public.
