VISITATION, TELEPHONES & MAIL

  1. How old must someone be to visit an inmate?
    • At least eighteen (18) years of age; persons under eighteen (18) years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (proof required), or be able to produce proof of marriage to the inmate.
  2. What are the times I can visit?
    • All visits will take place via video. You will need to register and schedule your visits at the following website http://adfvisits.lancaster.ne.gov/app. Sign in to schedule and manage upcoming visits with the inmate. You can select the date and time that is most convenient for you.

  3. What do I need to visit?
    • You must be able to produce a valid county, city, state and/or federal issued, photo ID.
  4. How long does a visit last?
    • Visits are setup to run for 1-hour from their scheduled start time.
  5. May I bring my minor children with me to visit?
    • Yes. Each minor will count as one of the 3 visitors allowed per visiting session. Children must be closely supervised at all times. If you fail to do this you may have your visit canceled.
  6. What can I take into a visit with me?
    • You should bring as few items as possible to visits due to very limited locker space available. Coats, purses, cell phones, computers, tablets, diaper bags, packages or other items will not be allowed into the video visitation area.
  7. What could cause me to lose my visiting privileges?
    • Any violation of the visiting rules or any inappropriate conduct. Visiting rules are available in the lobby of the facility and on our Visitor Informationpage.
  8. How may I contact an inmate by phone?
    • Inmates have daily access to phones that allow them to place collect local and long distance calls.
  9. How can I help provide an inmate with phone minutes?
    • Minutes can be purchased in the following ways:
      • Online Payment Processing Service is a service that allows you to conveniently purchase prepaid phone services using a credit or debit card. As soon as your payment is processed, the inmate has access to the services purchased.
      • By calling the following phone number: 1-888-506-8407. Customer Care Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to answer your questions and process your purchase.
      • By mailing a check or money order to the following address:

      • By placing money on the inmate’s account that can be used to purchase phone minutes.
  10. How can I leave a voicemail message for an inmate?
    • To leave a voicemail for an inmate you will need to complete the following steps:
      • You will need to set up a prepaid account with ICSolutions.
      • You will need the inmate’s CFN number which you can get from the inmate, our Inmate Lookup page, or from corrections Staff (402-441-1900).
      • You will call 402-858-4436 and listen to the menu to leave a voicemail. You will be charged a fee to leave a voicemail for an inmate.
  11. May I send mail to an inmate?
    • Inmates may generally correspond through the mail with whomever they choose, as long as the correspondence does not jeopardize the public or facility safety or security. Incoming mail will not be delivered to inmates if it contains contraband items, stickers, stamps, or stains. Books and magazines must be sent directly from a publisher. Inmates may only purchase envelopes and stamps from commissary, these items will not be given to inmates if received through the mail.
